Adalynn Grace is Welcomed by Big Sister Val!

It was just 3-4 short months ago when I took little Val's 1-year pictures - and NOW - Val is welcoming her baby sister into this crazy world we live in!  Introducing -  Adalynn Grace!

I was introduced to the Stephens family back in 8th grade when I moved to Streator.  While I was good friends with Jacque and Christina, there is no denying Katie is related to them!  Katie contacted me awhile back to take some 1-year shots of Val, and now she has two beautiful daughters to keep her busy!

I remember thinking how reserved and sweet Val was a few months back, and I see that in Brandon as well.  This photo session went very smoothly as everyone was willing to participate and mom and dad were so calm and relaxed!  Sometimes people are looking for that perfect shot, and when little ones are involved, you just have to go with the flow!  Let them be natural and do their thing - that's what Katie and Brandon did!  As you can tell in many of these pictures, Adalynn enjoyed having her pacifier or her fingers to suck on!

As I've said before, I like when people bring things that are special to them. The white blanket is a baptismal blanket.  Katie brought a Raggedy Ann blanket that ALL of her sisters have used - which makes the blanket about 35 years old!  That.  Is.  Awesome!  She also brought Brandon's Dog Tags which I loved!  Of course, Little Miss Adalynn was interested in trying to grasp them, so I worked quickly to click the button!

Congratulations to the Himan Family on the arrival of Adalynn Grace!

9 Month Nolan Charms Us With His Smile!

Look at this handsome man with his dashing smile!  I love how enthusiastic and entertaining Mr. Nolan is!

I had the pleasure of seeing Nolan a few months back and I couldn't believe the difference in everything he was doing now.  I have a feeling he will be keeping his parents very busy in the near future as it's very obvious that he is ready to be mobile!

Brent and Albana wanted to try and get a picture with their precious little pup.  From the pictures you can see that he's not really little, but he was so well-behaved!  Brent did a great job getting him tired before the session and begging him to be good with treats.

This is another family that I adore for multiple reasons.  Both Brent and Albana are so relaxed and carefree.  They are go-with-the-flow types of people which helps to  make a photo session go as smoothly as possible!

From his serious face to his smile - Nolan is handsome, adorable, and absolutely charming!  I had a great day hanging out with him on this day and I can't wait to see him for his one year shots...or hopefully before!  I always love to see my Henry Family!

Welcome to the World - Lakin Paul!

I was SO excited when Lakin’s mommy showed up to this shoot with a princess crown!  I have loved Disney Princesses since I was little!  AND - did you know that they make wedding dresses that are styled after each princess?  You should Google it sometime!

This session was easy!  I was a little concerned about the breeze the day of the pictures, but Lindsey assured me it would be fine.  It was a little colder than usual, and you’ll see that Lakin enjoyed being all wrapped up nice and cozy!

Her little features are absolutely precious.  There is nothing better than the little nose of an infant and the way that they sleep.

Lakin is very fortunate to have a big brother to watch after her.  Easton, once again, was so good!  He’s a charmer himself and I know that he will take good care of his little sister.  Just look at those eyes of his!

I recently did a maternity session for this family.  I remember thinking how adorable they were.  The father (Christian) is clearly in love with Lindsey and his children.  I am very fortunate to have a husband that is also a great father - I see these same qualities in Christian.  He is very nurturing and during both shoots he was looking out for Lindsey.

Lindsey is so laid-back and easy-going.  She doesn’t sweat the small stuff and she has a sense of pride about her family that is truly touching.

I cannot wait to see more of Lakin and Easton this year as they both continue to grow!

Until next time…

Mikayla - A Child Prodigy in the Making

Mikayla is...by far...one of the most entertaining 5-year-olds I've ever met.  She has personality galore and she is so sweet!  I was so excited she would be visiting from Texas and I would get a chance to see her!

Mikayla has a way with people that not many kids her age do.  She doesn't get shy and clingy; instead, she turns on the charm and spunk!  I absolutely love the conversations she starts while I'm taking her pictures.

Mikayla participated in an American Girl runway show recently.  As you can tell from these pictures, she definitely has a future in the modeling business or something similar!  She is absolutely adorable. I love the innocence in her smile and the light behind her eyes!

I wish Mikayla nothing but the best as she heads into Kindergarten.  I envision her being the teacher's favorite.  She will be creative and have so many friends that her social calendar will be quite full!

Good luck Mikayla!

Until next time...
