Ellie Fitzgerald - Pure Beauty

This photo session is probably one that I am most proud of.  True beauty.  Those are the words that come to mind when I think of Ellie.  She is going to be four soon, and her natural ability to shine in front of the camera is absolutely stunning.

From her blue eyes, to her sweet innocence - this girl is going to be trouble as she gets older.  Other than telling her where we were going, I didn’t have to say anything else.  I literally let her do her thing and this is what I was able to get.  She is gorgeous!

Ellie’s personality is nothing short of sweet and hilarious all at the same time.  While she wants to run around and be a 4-year-old, she’s also willing to sit and take in all that is going on around her.  She has a sense of calm about her that is amazing for such a young girl.  I’m sure her parents would argue otherwise - but I saw nothing but sweetness during this shoot.

What’s even better than this beautiful 4-year-old…she has a sister that is just as beautiful!  I was fortunate enough to be able to have Maggie along for the shoot as well.  She clearly finds her sister to be entertaining.  I love how affectionate Ellie is towards Maggie.  Sometimes Maggie loves it…and sometimes she doesn’t.  It’s just the usual love between siblings!

I’ve been doing this for a year now.  This is one of my prouder moments as a photographer.  Not only was it nice to be able to get back outside, but it was even greater to have a subject that possesses such natural beauty and requires the camera/photographer to do very little work.

I’ll throw one in of some of the cousins!  My little ones came along for the ride and they had a blast.  Vacation in July is going to be a blast as we all head to the Mountains!

Until next time…

The Sliker Family

I started my many photo sessions this past weekend with the Sliker Family!  These 3 children were absolutely perfectly behaved and made this shoot so enjoyable!

The minute they got out of the van they were ready to go!  With their smiles in tow, they quickly lined up, smiled, ran around a bit, and came back for more!

The little one is going to be 3 very soon!  I was AMAZED at how well behaved Brody was.  He wasn't shy when I asked him to come with me.  I enjoyed watching him run and I loved the little faces he made when he thought nobody was watching.  His muscles - definitely impressive!

Jotie is absolutely precious.  When asked to make silly faces, she just wanted to be sweet.  I could tell within the brief time I was with her that she is a GREAT big sister.  She was kind to her little brothers and she reminded me a lot of my Ella.

Dalton was along for the ride.  He was just like Joe and wanted to play football during the shoot, BUT, he was quick to smile for me...and then go back to his game of catch with his dad.

All three of these kids impressed me with their willingness to pose with one another.  They were kind, sweet, and they didn't complain - not once!  When you look at their ages, that is beyond impressive.

This family is nothing short of awesome.  From the handsome smiles of Dalton and Brody, to the sweetness of Jotie, to the relaxed personalities of Katie and Joe - I would gladly have a session with this family any day of the week!

Nolan is Growing Quickly - He's 6 Months Old!

I don't even know where to begin with this adorable little man.  While his baby blues are enough to make me want to squeeze him, his handsome smile is a close second!

After looking at Nolan's parents, it's no wonder how he got to be so adorable.  Albana and Brent are two of the kindest individuals I've ever met.  I know I said this in Nolan's 3 Month Blog, but I truly feel like they are part of the Henry family that I became so close to - even though they arrived after I left.

It was great to see how much Nolan had grown since I saw him at 3 months.  He's sitting like a champ and he even gave me a sneak peek at his ability to stand.  As a matter of fact, there were times during the shoot that Albana had to physically bend his legs to sit because he preferred to stand.  I warned Brent and Albana that in a  few short months they would have their hands full!

The cool breeze was no match for Nolan's eagerness to do well during this photo session.  A cool breeze can turn any child into a cranky, I don't want to be out here, mess.  Not Nolan.  At first he was stone-faced, but just a few short minutes into the session he was his normal, charming self.  At times it was like the breeze was tickling him as he got excited and smiled as it blew through his hair and in his face.

Like I said, this is one of the most adorable families I've ever met.  Albana and Brent are two of the most laid-back, if not THE most laid-back parents I've ever met.  Albana and I were talking about how kids bring a level of stress into your life.  It's a level of stress we would never change, but it's caused us to start getting ready a little earlier, and to accept that things may not go as planned.  But - you roll with the punches.

I have yet to see Nolan upset or Brent or Albana lose their cool.  That speaks volumes about the type of parents they are!

Let's be honest - the children of the house are the rulers of the house in a sense.  If they are hungry, you feed them, no matter what you may have been doing.  If they need a bath, you drop what you're doing to bathe them.  If they decide that you should be late, you're late.  Plain and simple, they're worth every bit of it!
