Brinley Just Wants to Have Fun!

When I look back at the past year that I've been taking pictures, I've had plenty of handsome little men.  On Saturday I was blessed with the smile of Little Miss Brinley.  From the time she walked (or was carried) through my door she was smiling!

First off I'll start with Brinley and her growls.  Don't let the beautiful blue eyes, the cute little smile and the bashful/shy look fool you.  When she wants to, she can growl.  She has the adorable little coos and the sweet little giggles - but she also has a hilarious growl.

I guess I should clarify - she doesn't just growl for the sake of growling.  I noticed that she growls mostly when trying to crawl.  I was very impressed with her upper-arm strength and her ability to do an army crawl faster than you can say supercalifragilisticsexpialidocious (pardon the poor spelling).  She is a mover!

Brinley is also tough.  At 7 months it's difficult, as a mother or a photographer, to gauge just how long a baby is going to want to sit.  In the sessions I've had in the past, I've always been able to see the wobble before the fall, and catch the little infant before he/she would bump the noggin.  Brinley is a different story.  She shows no signs of toppling over, until it's too late!  Her mom reassured me that it wouldn't phase her, and she was right!  Brinley sat right back up with her beautiful smile, ready to do work for the camera!

This was my first time meeting Brinley and I really hope it's not my last.  She truly is adorable with her bubbly personality and her precious smile.

Until next time...

Liam Doty - ONE Cute Little Man!

Once upon a time, one year ago, a handsome little man was brought into this world by two loving parents.  Liam Robert Doty was a very fortunate little boy, surrounded by love.  Shortly after he was born, he decided he would show his parents that parenting isn’t easy.  A lot of fear, a lot of hope, and a lot of prayers… Many tears, many more smiles, and a few days later, Liam, Devin, and Beau were all able to go home together.

I remember the day that Liam was born.  I remember seeing pictures of him and thinking that he looked just like his daddy.  We all, as parents, experience that feeling of our children growing up too last.  I honestly feel like Liam was just born, and I have a feeling his mom and dad feel the exact same way.

From basketball games to dinners to just hanging out, my family and I get to see Liam quite a bit.  There are many words that can be used to describe his personality.  When he was younger he was laid back and calm.  Around the 6-month mark Liam started to show his true personality.  He would smile at strangers, snuggle into his mom’s cheek, and get excited at the sound of music.

At 9 months Liam started to be a ball of fire.  Around 9 months he was able to stand, and at 10 months (give or take a few days) he was able to walk.  He is the epitome of a boy.  He is rough and tough and rowdy.

Now, at one-year-old, he is absolutely hilarious.  As you can see from some of these pictures he turns on the charm, turns on the tears, and turns on the cuteness all at the drop of a hat.

Who would have thought that Liam, who loves his food, would HATE…DESPISE….LOATHE….birthday cake.  A look at the next few pictures will tell you just how he felt about cake!  His mom has a very short time until his actual birthday to make him like it!

I want to wish a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Mr. Liam Doty!  I can’t wait to see him grow up.  Something tells me his mom and dad won’t have much time to sit still for many years to come!

Until next time…

Hannah and Her Two Handsome Men!

I want to start this blog off by saying that Hannah is going to have her hands full when these two boys start dating!  One look at them and you will understand why I say this!

Now, I have a 3 year old boy of my own and he is rambunctious and wild!  These two boys had quiet, yet vibrant personalities.  Four-year-old Mareea and three-year-old Marcus are sure to melt many hearts as they get older.

Mareea was the quietest of the two.  He was quick to give me a charming smile, and even quicker to give me a silly face.  The moment I asked for a silly face he was ready to keep them coming!

Marcus was the charmer.  He would show a little personality and then pretend to be shy.  In the beginning he had the fake smile going on, hesitant to let us believe that he was having any fun.  I loved the attitude that he gave - he meant business, in a respectful way!

The two of them together- absolutely priceless!  I can only imagine the laughs that they give their mother, Hannah.  When Marcus was ready to pose with Mareea, Mareea was less than interested.  When Mareea was ready to pose with Marcus, Marcus was less than interested.

When all was said and done, I captured the true personalities of two handsome, young men.

Until next time…
