Finley Jean (9 Months)...and a little bit of Max!

Finley and Max - two little kids with a lot of personality!  It seems to be the routine with these two...Finley is always ready to turn on the charm while Max is less than thrilled to have his pictures taken!  Lucky for him, he only had to pose for a couple!

After we got a couple Christmas shots of the Big Bro and Lil' Sis together, it was Finley's turn to shine!  She has big blue eyes that don't quit and she was definitely ready to move!

(I love this picture.  Bryan walked into the room and she got into this sweet little flirtatious pose.  It was hilarious).

The many faces of Finley...Each time that I have had a session with Finley, she shows me these faces that absolutely crack me up!  I never catch them until I'm going to edit the pictures and I sit in front of my computer, alone, dying laughing!  I always have a to take a quick pic and send it to her mother.

From the Christmas dress to the pink sweater dress with leg warmers, Finley was absolutely precious.    The hair bows are made with love by her own mother.  Finley's daddy put in a little call to ask that I take a picture without a bow the size of her head in her hair.  Well, she always had a bow, but I think that he will be happy with the smaller bow in the end;).

I can't wait to see her in March for her first birthday!  It seems like just yesterday I was waiting for the message to say that she was here!  Love you, Finley and Max!

Until next time...

Briggs...And his eyes that will melt your heart!

This soon-to-be one year old is an absolute heart-throb!  Introducing….Briggs!  Not only will his eyes melt your heart, but his little squeals and smiles will have you wanting to take him home!

Briggs showed up ready for business.  Now, when I say ready for business, I mean he was ready to give his mama a workout!  This little boy can move…and move fast!

This entire session, Briggs offered many smiles.  He was not intimated by my children that were in the room, or the 95 pound boxer that had to go outside.  He loved the dog, he wanted to play with the kids, and he still managed to look absolutely handsome with each click of the camera!

There were a couple things we wanted to try with Briggs.  He had never actually been out in the snow.  He didn’t complain when we set him down!  He fell on his little tush and thought eating the snow was the way to go!

Following that, we allowed him to get a little sugar-buzz.  He touched the cake, but clearly didn’t want to mess it up too much! After a couple of bites he decided that cake really isn’t all it’s cracked up to be!  This was a relief to mom who had minimal clean-up to do!

I have seen blue eyes before, but add his charming smile and there is nothing that can top this adorable little man!  Happy 1st Birthday to Briggs in January!  You are an absolute charmer!

Until next time…

The Marin Family - Christmas 2013

A few months have gone by since I last got to see this adorable family.  Braving the cold weather and the snow, Lennox, Westin, Brooke, and Ricardo were ready to take a few Christmas pictures.  As always - these two children are so stinkin' cute!

With snow still falling, we simply wanted to get a few individual shots of Lennox, and a family picture or two to celebrate Christmas.  Lennox was intrigued as we set him in the snow.  Don’t worry - there was a blanket down for a barrier from the cold.  Poor little Westin was freezing - but he cooperated and did what I asked!

I loved the antlers that Brooke showed up with!  Ricardo - well, he was less than thrilled!  But, like a good man - he was quiet and did what Brooke said.

I always enjoy this family.  Westin is a true 3-year-old.  He will say, “mommy” more times than you can count.  Lennox will simply sit there and let you do what you want.  Ricardo is great at wrangling Westin in, and doing what he’s told by myself and Brooke.  And Brooke, well, she’s the only person I know that could ever be hot while shooting in 25 degree weather.  They all showed up in style (I would not expect any less) and they were an absolute joy to work with, once again!

Until next time…

The Campbell Family - Soon To Be A Family Of 4!

I couldn’t be happier to introduce the Campbell family - soon to be a family of 4 - to you!  Throughout the week Laura and I kept in touch, debating whether or not we wanted to brave the weather.  We decided to go on ahead with the shoot - knowing that we could always find areas around their house if we needed to.

Josh and Laura have a great screened in porch on the back of their house.  Although it’s not heated, the lighting was very helpful in allowing us to get some good shots.  This is where we started, and this is where Madisyn showed us her hesitation.  I loved her response anytime I would ask her to do something.  She would said, “I don’t think I really want to do that.”  There was no whining or fit throwing involved!  She simply stated how she felt!

Although Madisyn wasn’t too excited about kissing her mommy’s belly or touching it, I was able to snap a couple quick shots while she sat there next to her mom and dad.  This is when she started to liven up and show her true personality!  I think everyone that sees these pictures would agree that Laura looks GREAT right now!  I am more than excited that they are going to be introducing baby #2 in January!

Josh and Laura were willing to brave the cold for a couple of shots, and before you knew it, Madisyn decided she wanted to join in as well!  Who can blame her?  The snow was absolutely beautiful!

I can say nothing but good things about this wonderful family.  Josh is absolutely hilarious in everything he does - but he is also one of the kindest men I’ve ever met.  Laura has such a big heart and truly a friend that can be counted on!  Madisyn is such a beautiful, smart little girl, who I know will make a great big sister.

Good luck to this family as they grow very soon!

Until next time…
