Delila Flores - Class of 2015

It’s important that I start this blog off by saying that I am extremely proud of Delila and the young woman that she has become.  I had Delila as a freshman - quiet, shy, and reserved.  Those are the words that I would have used to describe her then.  4 years later, as a Senior, that description has changed.  Delilah has become driven, determined, and involved.

Delila is a student that is involved in everything that school has to offer.  BUT, she’s different from many students in that she not only holds offices in all of these clubs, but she truly and genuinely does what she can to make a positive difference for her school and her community.

In the classroom, Delila is hardworking and dedicated.  She is always able to rise to whatever challenge may be presented to her and she recognizes the importance of an education.

Outside of the classroom Delila is a driving force in making SHS what it is.  From Key Club to Snowball to many others, Delila works her tail off to make a difference.  She has a true, kind, loving heart, and she wants to do for others.

Delila has a bright future ahead of her.  I have seen first hand how hard Delila has and is working to guarantee herself a strong foundation as she leaves high school.  I know that she has many hopes, goals, and ambitions and I cannot think of anyone who is more deserving than this young lady.  As the scholarships, honors, awards, and acceptance letters start rolling in, I cannot wait to see what path she chooses!

Until next time…
